Apple Streusel Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 Cup All purpose flour
- 1 Cup Whole wheat flour
- 1 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 Teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup Oil
- 1/4 Cup Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 5 Cup Apples, coarsely diced
- 1/2 Cup Chopped nuts, optional
- THE STREUSEL:
- 2 Teaspoon Flour
- 2 Teaspoon Butter, softened
- 5 Teaspoon Sugar
Directions:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except nuts,apples and the streusel ingredients and mix, at low speed using an electric mixer, until moistened; beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
- Stir in the nuts and apples by hand. Spread the batter in the prepared pan. In a small bowl mix the streusel ingredients to form a crumb mixture and top the batter with it. Bake at 350 deg F for 40 to 50 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
