Banana Splits Recipe
Ingredients:
- Preparation - 10 minutes, Cooking time - 5 minutes

- For the fudge sauce:
- 3 tbsp dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup

- For the banana splits:
- 4 ripe bananas
- 12 scoops of ice cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, lightly whipped
- 12 glace cherries
- 1/2 cup chopped mixed nuts, toasted
- 8 fan-shaped wafers
Directions:
- Begin by making the fudge sauce: break the chocolate into a pan and add the butter, cream, sugar, and syrup.
- Heat gently, stirring, until the ingredients are melted and well blended; remove from the heat, but do not allow to cool completely.
- Cut each banana in half lengthwise and place in the banana-split dishes, pushing the halves apart.
- Place 2 scoops of ice cream between 2 pieces of banana.
- Spoon over the cream, then scatter the cherries on top. Drizzle on the warm sauce, scatter with the nuts, then push in the wafers and serve immediately.
