Brown Sugar Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup(s) , Lard
- 3 cup(s) , Brown Sugar
- 4 large , Egg Yolks
- 4 large , Egg Whites
- 1 cup(s) , Sour Milk
- 2 cup(s) , Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) , Salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) , Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon(s) , Ground Cloves
- 1 teaspoon(s) , Allspice
- 1 teaspoon(s) , Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon(s) , Baking Soda
Directions:
- Beat together lard and 2 cups of brown sugar until creamy.
- beat in the 4 egg yolks and 2 egg whites. Add
- milk. Stir in flour and remaining dry ingredients.
- Pour into greased tin. Then beat the other 2 egg
- whites with the other 1 cup of brown sugar. Spread over cake
- dough and bake all in a 350 degree oven for about 40
- minutes.
