Clam Rolls Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Cut crust off bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin. Put aside.
  3. In a saucepan, cook onion and butter or margarine for 3 minutes. Blend in flour, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder.
  4. Stir in clams and liquid and cook over low heat until mixture thickens.
  5. Let mixture cool and then spread a light layer over each slice of bread. Roll each slice like a jelly roll.
  6. Place on buttered cookie sheet close together and brush tops with melted butter. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, remove from oven and slice each roll into three pieces. Serve warm.
