Rummy Baked Bananas With Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6 ripe bananas
- 4 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
- Juice of 1 small lemon
- 3 tbsp butter, cut into small bits
- 2 tbsp dark rum or 1 tsp rum flavoring
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Peel the bananas. With a sharp knife, slice them lengthwise in half. Place the halves in a small baking dish just large enough to hold them in one layer.
- Sprinkle the bananas with the 3 to 4 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup and the lemon juice, dot them with the 2 to 3 tbsp butter, and drizzle the dark rum or rum flavoring on top. Bake the bananas until they are soft and the topping is bubbly, about 10 minutes.
- Serve the bananas hot from the oven, on individual plates, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
