Steamed Halibut Recipe

  1. Bring some water to a boil in a pan or steamer with a rack and lid. Layer the carrots, snow peas, and scallions evenly on the rack. Place the halibut steaks, in a single layer, on top of the vegetables.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. cover and steam for about 7 minutes, or until fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. While the fish is cooking, mix the butter and thyme together and set aside.
  3. When done, transfer the vegetables and fish to a warmed platter or serving dishes and pour the butter-thyme mixture over.
  4. Garnish with the lemon wedges.
